Waltham, 9^th February 2010; Mass Premier Soccer is set to host a boys residential college pre-season camp for players seeking to better prepare themselves for the 2010 fall season.

Players are encouraged to sign up as a team or as an individual for the camp held at Lawrence Academy August 23^rd-26^th, 2010 where they will be guided by an MPS UEFA ‘B’ Licensed coach for the duration of the week.

“We are excited to host our first annual pre-season camp for teams and individuals looking to get a head start to their college season,” said MPS Academy Director Lee Billiard.  “The camp is an ideal opportunity for High School graduates to sample a typical college pre-season prior to commencing their freshman year.  We are particularly looking for college captains to take the lead and bring their squad to a week of intensive technical and physical training under the guidance of an MPS coach in preparation for the rigors of the fall season.”

The intensive camp week will run for four days / three nights and will be broken down to include technical training, functional work based on playing positions, sports performance exercises, video analysis seminars and motivational lectures.

“At the college pre-season camp we are looking to replicate a professional soccer environment which will allow teams to come together as a group for intense training,” said Billiard.  “We have had huge success with a similar camp geared at High School preparation and we look forward to welcoming college teams who hope to reach their maximum potential during the 2010 fall season.”
