Waltham, 19th July 2010; The MPS U17 Bulldogs captured the US Club Soccer Regional Championship last weekend at the event held in Pittsgrove, NJ.
After soaring through the group stages of the event, the U17 Bulldogs, led by Head Coach Joe Bradley, defeated Pittsgrove Premier, a leading New Jersey Team, 2-0 to claim their second consecutive US Club Soccer Regional championship at the Super Group level.
“We are delighted to win the Regional event and qualify for the upcoming National Finals in Virginia Beach,” said MPS U17 Bulldogs Assistant Coach Tim Mason. “Their success is a result of their perseverance and tenacity that has enabled them to flourish and develop both as players and as a team.”
The continued success of the MPS U17 Bulldogs can be largely accredited to the return of 16 out of 18 players from the team that claimed the U-16 Super Group in 2009.
The team, led by Head Coach Joe Bradley, will advance to the US Club Soccer National Cup IX Finals in Virginia Beach held July 30th-August 2nd
